Online Productivity
I really don't think I need this tool. I use Word 2003 that's on my computer, and it seems to work fine. If the Internet is down, I can still get to Worjd. Maybe if there were a bunch of us using the same document I could actually find a use for this.
Sandbox wiki
As stated before in my wiki blog, To add a blog to the Sandbox is as easy as making a peanut butter sandwich. But to be truthful, I really don't know when I would EVER do such a thing!
the wiki
Until now, I had never thought of the wiki unless it referred to wikipedia. I found the sentence: Making a wiki is as easy as making a peanut butter sandwich right in my language. I can see the children's librarian using this when an entire third grade class -in the whole county-must do a specific project such as Egypt. Setting up a spot to help them search for maps, crafts, and other information could be accessed from one spot.
Away From the Icebergs
Anyone who has three different bathing suits-all different sizes-in their closet understands perfectly, the just in case collection. I not only agree with that idea, but also the second iceberg, services that can be used without training. It only makes sense, that a librarian can't be in twenty places at one time to help customers. As for the come to us vs the we must go to them, I am technologically challenged and not quite sure how this can be done.
No Joy in Cleveland
I was recently searching Technorati to waste a little time-by feet hurt and no one was in the library branch who needed any help, and I discovered the Joy of being a Sox fan. I think I seriously might have enjoyed looking at blogs IF the Indians had won. As is it, I really have too much to do, to sail around in Technorati.

Del.icio.us
Exploded some of the bookmarks in the PLCMCL account. thought the trading cards was cute. Looked at making your own calendar-maybe I could use that with children's pictures saved from programs we have had this passed year. Might be something to explore further when I have time.
ROLLYO
Found a great use for this site. I listed all of my web sites that I use for children's programs. Now I just need to plug in the theme and my favorite sites are all there.
Library Thing
I just listed five of my favorite inspirational books. Ortberg is my favorite! This list reminded me that I would do well to read more of this kind of literature. My heavy use of serial killer books does not do well to lift my mood.
MERLIN
I just subscribed to the MERLIN website. I hope that in the future when I have more down time, I can use it in my work. It would be great to find one spot for library related material.
